I wanted to keep the construction the same throughout my building for economical reasons and continuity, and with such a large open space in each area of my building, my beams had to be really long spanning. This led me to glu-lam timber construction as this layered timber has the potential to span up to 24m.
Glulam construction throughout - primary lightweight frame
Glulam roof structure as well as beams and columns throughout both loud and quiet portions of the building.
